Imagine my surprise when, upon entering the room I’d booked, I found a free box of luxury Latvian chocolate truffles and a note directed to me, wishing that I would have a great stay and a wonderful time in the Latvian capital. An unexpected delight, these personalised touches denoted an extra level of service that makes a visitor not only feel special but, most importantly, wanted.

In case the personalised touch isn’t enough, the Konventa Sēta hotel also comes with its own set of extra amenities. There’s a complimentary porter service, dry-cleaning, and even the possibility to bring your pet along for the ride. What’s more, the hotel also has an associated restaurant, which offers a buffet breakfast for an extra fee ($20 per person), and a café specialising in cruffins.
